Best software for a beginner website builder

Hello everyone,

I have a very simple question. I would like to know what any of you could suggest me as the best program for building simple html websites, for a beginner that barely know what html, link, or ftp is?

Thanks a lot in advance for any suggestion.

Regards

RE: Best software for a beginner website builder

a good place to start is with a straight HTML editor. There is a good free one called 1stPage. I believe it is made by a company called EvrSoft. It is good for editing HTML code. I truly believe you should get a grasp on HTML coding before moving up to an application like DreamWeaver or GoLive. It will allow you to fix issues a lot easier if you understand the code behind it. I would also suggest checking out w3schools.com and DevGuru.com for tutorials and code hints. A book that I found invaluable was the HTML QuickStart Guides. That are short books that have visual representations of the code that it is explaining. Hope this helps.
