I had read somewhere that people usually remove their PUB code for a day and keep that place empty. eCPM rises from that but I am not quite sure yet as I haven't tried it myself.

Hard to help you when your site is not online at this moment, but alot of earnings will have to do with a number of factors. For example your sites content, what advertisers are bidding currently on your specific keywords and the overall number of ads you have on your site.
