It would index the site (1 page at a time) as a whole, and based on how clean your code is thats how much easier it will be to find you via a search engine. Your rank is not only based on the content of your website, but also (example) how many links to your site are on other sites. So obviously, your page rank can only grow over time and would increase per your websites activity.
