5. A fantastic way to get the exercise that your body needs to stay healthy is through sports. Participating in sports reduces the chances of blood cholesterol and lowers blood sugar levels. Taking advantage of the benefits of sports reduces the risk of hypertension as well as other disorders related to stress.
6. Studies have found that people who participate in sports on a regular basis are better at coping with the daily stress in their lives. Playing sports also reduces the chances of developing psychological disorders, such as anxiety and depression.

Is beach volleyball easier on the body than indoor volleyball?

Beach volleyball is easier on the body than the indoor game of volleyball. With indoor, you are playing on a hard surface. On the beach you are playing in the sand which is very forgiving on the joints. The only difference could be that on the beach, with the wind, the ball is blowing and you potentially have more opportunities to have a shoulder injury because you are not hitting the ball in one position. You are moving your arms around and that could potentially create more opportunities for a shoulder injury. Overall for the leg, the back, and the ankles, beach volleyball is more forgiving.
What are the physical requirements of beach volleyball?

You don't have to be very tall to play beach volleyball and be successful. Height helps but it's not a requirement. If you can jump, move well, move quickly, have very good ball control, and have coordination contacting the ball it helps. It also helps to have a strong mental part of the game because there's only one other person there. If one person isn't having a great time, it's only you that can take care of him. It's not six people on the court where if one person is having trouble the other five can take over. It's just you and your partner. So, it helps to be very strong, mental.
What gives you a better workout in beach volleyball-playing doubles or fours?

The best workout in beach volleyball is when two men are on each side. This is because you have to cover more court. The four-person game and other versions of the game where there's other people on the court just means that you have other people covering the court, and therefore splitting up the court. With just two of you, it's a big area to cover, and you really have to move to get to that ball.
Is beach volleyball a sport for the young only?

Beach volleyball is a sport for everyone: for children, for middle-aged people, and for older people. I grew up playing on the beach with kids and people in their 70s, and everybody was having a good time, playing on the same court. So beach volleyball is a sport for everybody.
