RE: Web Development
Some of you might be thinking of creating a personal website. Outstanding! I cannot think of a better way of organizing, and sharing, family memorabilia than on a website. Put in everything you know about your family and preserve that knowledge for future generations. Publish it on the web to share it, and put a back-up copy of it onto a CD for safe keeping. Your family tree, your photos, your stories, everything you add to your site can be saved for the future.

RE: Web Development
As every body above hav mentioned the various languages and the software u need to work ...get urself accustomed to the server they are using...then u should know whether they are doing server side or the client side web development...since if they are using server side then u have to learn php, jsp and if they are working on client side web development then u have to learn javascript or any other language used for the client side programming.

Software developement is a GREAT avenue to pursue. There are few other jobs in America where you can work 9 to 5 and potentially earn $100K+ with just a bachelors degree. It is interesting and challenging. Yes, there are definitely $100k+ jobs if you are talented, keep learning and bring a lot of experience to the table.
