What Makes a Template "Good"?

In your guys mind, what do you think makes a template "good"?

Do you thnk that in order for a template to be considered good it should be a one of a kind?

What type of ad placement do you think is best for proxy sites specifically? (EX. Around the URL bar etc)

I am currently looking around and tweaking some of my own templates right now

RE: What Makes a Template "Good"?

What do I think makes the best template, hmmm?

Well, I am a designer so I believe first the design is the most important. The term eye candy comes to mind when I think of a template design. When a client shops for a template they purchase what appeals to eye more often.

Next is simplicity. It should be easy to set up and modify. If it is to difficult to use your templates clients won't refer your templates to others or come back themselves.

I mean a template must not to be full flashy and graphicaly.in my opinion the best thing of care is to take a minimum size of your template and use jpeg type of images.
