What is the most widely or popularly used CMS today?

Hi everyone I just want to know what CMS is the most popular these days.

I heard about Joomla and Mambo but can't distinguish which is best and easy to use.

I just wonder what is the most popular among webmasters.

Are you looking to write plugins or design templates ?

Are you collecting software to include in hosting packages ?

Are you looking for opinions on what you should use for a new site ?

I have different answers depending on why you want to know this.
